Dear Viper Universe,

In light of the beginning of the new year, Viper is unveiling its first official monthly E-letter. The purpose of the E-letter is to enhance interactivity, stimulate dialogue and essentially create a forum for athletes, and the parents of athletes alike. At Viper complacency is unacceptable; thus, we are always looking for ways to improve our ability to make our athletes even better. The E-Letter, aside from disclosing Viper updates and news will include training literature, dogma, theory etc. After all, knowledge is strength as well.

With that said, 2010 holds a lot in store for our Viper athletes. First and foremost, we really will be looking to push the strength threshold as much as possible. After nearly a year, I have worked with many in the Academy for quite sometime now, and in that time they have really demonstrated a high level of neuromuscular control and core stability. To continually generate new gains, resistance training is a must. Therefore, there will be a considerable increase in the amount of time spent in the weight room from here on out. We also have new equipment on the horizon as well. Chains, ropes, sand bags and many, many more cruel and unusual devices to inflict physical pain and mental anguish lol. Without "giving away too much," expect big things in 2010!

Before concluding, I would like to ask everyone to follow me on twitter at viperspeed07, and I have a blog as well. All of these can be found at our website, www.viperspeedacademy.com. Please, check these out!

Last but not least, the Nike tops are still in Dri-Fit pergatory so-to-speak. I haven't forgotten about them. We are merely waiting for the prototype to be revealed by our logo company. It takes time to get things done to Viper standards.

Here is to a great 2010!

Yours In Srength,

Coach Mike
